General Update - 30.10.08
Another Month or so since my last update, again, apologies but I've been too busy. For those who don't yet know, I was recently made redundant from my job. I know what your thinking, I was only there for barely three months; I'm well aware of this and I swear it must be some sort of record but last in first out, it's only fair, a shame as I was having a really good time, but I guess lifestyles was just another victim of the credit crunch. I'm over the rejection though (sob)and took a holiday to Berlin with my partner which was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful city. I'm half thinking of putting up a gallery of my photo's. But now I'm back which means I'm back on the market and looking for a new job. I've updated some info on the site so if anybody's interested in hiring contact me, I'm ready and eager for a new challenge.
Site Update - 23.08.08
Sorry for no updates recently; I've gotten myself a little carried away with things. Soon after I posted my last site update, within a single week I had four job offers come my way both through this website and through the highly popular business network LinkedIn. Within another week I had my interviews and by the next week I was starting work in Bath at LifeStylesOnline.co.uk. I'm having an excellent time there and I have to say they have an excellent setup with a very sound business plan. Oddly, it's not ASP.NET and c# that I'm programming in like Pink-Lilly but PHP. I'm not as knowledgeable about PHP as I am with c# and .NET but I'm reveling the challenge and learning quick. If you haven't signed up to LinkedIn yet (I admit I'm not a big social networker) I would do so, and contact as many people as you can. It's worth it, and I've had a lot of job opportunities come through that I've passed on to others.
Site Update - 30.06.08
What with Pink-Lilly slowing down now it's up for testing on the test server, I've had time to update the website and add some content. I now have some small articles on Pink-Lilly and the Sailing Database up now in webwork so hop on over there to check it out.
Work Update - 26.05.08
Lately, on top of Pink Lilly I've been working on the design for a data mining site for up to the minute news on yacht racing. I'll add the details to my webwork soon. The site isn't live just yet, but keep an eye on sailingdb.co.uk in the mean time as it should be live by the end of the month.
Site Up! - 31.04.08
Lap of Honor! I've been meaning to sort this out since new years but I've finally gotten round to it, just been working on a few projects and times drifted on and you know how it is. The site's still work in progress and I'll be adding things to the placeholders as time goes on, right now I've just added a nifty code tip on a PHP RSS Parser I've used to display this very text. Interested? Check it out -->
Thanks goes to Imran over at avimdesign for kicking me up the arse to get this out there. Cheers!
